The Beach of Tonsai Beach
Compared to neighbouring Rai Leh beach and Ao Nang village, Ton Sai beach is relatively rough around on the edges. In particular, the beach is unsuitable for swimming and becomes quite rocky as the tide goes out. Ton Sai Beach is very Shallow!! See the photo at the bottom for low tide.
I remeber laughing our asses off at the Chill Out Bar watching some yup yup strap on flippers and his snorkel gear and wade in the water. He walked out 400m before he realized he was not going to find any water deeper than his knee. At high tide you can swim, but NOT at ALL at low tide.
